Actor Jang Hyuk to Marry in June
SidusHQ, Jang's agency, announced Jang's nuptial through a press release Dec. 29.
Jang and his fiancee Kim, 33, first met at a fitness club in 2002, she was a Pilates instructor at that time. "2004 was a really difficult year for me, but she was with me. She supported me in my difficult times and I can't even find the words to describe how thankful and moved I am," Jang said in the press release.
They got engaged last June and Kim is expecting a baby in February. Their wedding ceremony will take place June 2 at W Seoul - Walkerhill, after Kim's delivery. "We already named the baby, Tae-hui. I hope the baby will be a open-minded person like the name," Jang said. "Tae" in Korean means grand and "hui" means happiness.
Jang, a Busan-native born in 1976, debuted in the SBS TV drama "Model" (1997). He also starred in the movie "Volcano High" (2001) and drama "Joyful Girl's Success Story" (2002).
He shot the romantic comedy movie "Windstruck" (2004) with Jun Ji-hyun, also known as Gianna Jun.
However, at the peak of his popularity, Jang was called to serve in the army, along with other famous actors Song Seung-heon and Han Jae-suk. He had attempted to dodge the obligatory military service earlier. He was discharged in November 2006.
Jang made a successful comeback with MBC drama "Thank You" (2007). He portrayed a lonely doctor living on an island who falls in love a single mom with a daughter who has AIDS.
Jang starred in his first Hollywood movie "Dance of the Dragon" with Singaporean actress Fann Wong and is currently shooting the SBS drama "Robber (Bulhandang)," which will air Wednesday.

Cha Tae-hyeon became father within one and half years of marriage
Actor Cha Tae-hyeon became father of a healthy son. His wife, Choi Seok-eun gave birth to a healthy 3.6kg son on 26th December at one of hospitals in Kang-nam, Seoul. She had natural childbirth and both the mother and the child are well.

Ryu Si-won Tops Japanese Record Chart
Singer/actor Ryu Si-won has topped a Japanese music album chart in the Asian category.
Ryu's fourth album "With You," which was released in Japan in May, was found to have topped the music chart according to the largest music record chain HMV's annual album sales rankings.
The singer's agency, Rs Company, said the feat attests to Ryu's success in Japan as a singer.
"With You" topped HMV's album booking chart when it was just released, and took the second spot on the Oricon daily chart. In June, the singer successfully gave a concert at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.
Ryu is also popular as an actor in Japan. Since October this year he has been appearing on the TBS weekend drama "Woman Detective" opposite young Japanese star Yukie Nakama.

Solbi, Kim Sung-eun Nominated for 'Best Entertainer' Award
Actress Kim Sung-eun and singer Solbi will compete for the 'Best Entertainer Award' at the 2007 KBS Entertainment Awards on December 22.
Kim, a popular host of 'Happy Sunday - Immortal Music' and Solbi, a co-host for the third season of 'Happy Together' on KBS 2TV have been selected as candidates for the 'Best Entertainer Award.'
Kim has appeared in the film 'Magang Hotel,' the MBC drama 'Thank You' and the SBS Drama 'Gangnam Mothers.' She currently appears on 'Happy Sunday - Immortal Music' as a lovable tone-deaf host. Solbi has also attracted the media spotlight for her appearance on numerous entertainment shows.

Actress Ha Ji-won Helps Low-Income Youths
Actress Ha Ji-won has been helping the needy, including low-income youths, for the past year.
The Gangnam branch of Healthy Family Support Center said the actress has been taking an active part in the 'Smile Again Project' since December last year to help low-income and disabled children.
The center also said the entire budget for the long-term project was donated by Ha. It said the actress will be donating money every year for the project.
The project includes a custom-designed family support service that involves home-to-home cognitive verbal therapy, a project called 'Dreams Come True' providing money for education and extracurricular activities for non-disabled children living with disabled family members, a project entitled 'A Painting By Our Family' that involves family members visiting local community centers to paint their walls as well as a 'Happy Bank Account' to promote love and expression of love among family memberssource: kbs global

Gong Yoo's new 2008 calendar
Popular South Korean actor Gong Yoo will put a 2008 calendar featuring himself on the Japanese market next month, his management agency said Tuesday (Oct. 30).
SidusHQ said, "The '2008 Gong Yoo Calendar' will be available for purchase in Japan on Nov. 23, and the calendar will show both Gong Yoo's refined style and a range of looks including the more informal and personal."
The actor is best known in Japan for his role in the Japanese movie, "Like a Dragon," and his starring role in the hit Korean TV drama, "Coffee Prince Shop No.1," which was aired earlier this year.
The calendar will feature pictures of Gong on the streets of Seoul, capturing a sense of the season and showing a vibrant feeling of movement. A collection of these photographs will also go on sale in Japan late December.
